142. What Began In Earth Poem by Jaden Knight

142. What Began In Earth

Rating: 4.0

What began in earth
will end in fire
the people will pay
their lives or their desires

Torture and rob the old
damage the youth
make citizens their slaves
and corrupt the truth

Inciting the hatred of our fellow man
they want us to kill each other
it’s part of the plan
turning us against our own brother

Eventually it will fall to pieces
as the society itself starts to crumble
as the hidden wolves shed their sheep fleeces
soon even the senseless will feel the rumbles

First would come the remonstration
riots civil unrest and demonstrations
the moral fabric will start to tear
and in that moment humanity will be bare

The governments would only be able to silence a little
as the relationships between voters and voted are so brittle
not even the rulers will be able to watch and laugh
as everyone will feel the heat of their neighbour's wrath

People will be taught that there is much they should learn
and the whole world round them brightly burns
not a human will left alive to tell the story
of mankind and its spectacular fall from glory

What began in earth
has ended in fire
the whole world has paid
for their foolish desires
and the flames will gradually fade
to be replaced by just silence
the price humanity paid
for lives of stupidity and violence

Civil unrest? I think it has already begun. Nice piece.

John, some nice rhymes. some of them could easily be made even better by careful attention. ask me if you are interested. and i believe you left out a couple of small words in your haste to submit, though i must confess i sometimes catch an error of mine after submitting one of my poems [rarely! ]. i proofread several times whose plan? ? is this about aliens taking control of earthlings/earth by promoting unrest? . The governments would only be able to silence a little as the relationships between voters and voted are so brittle not even to rulers will be able to watch and laugh ..........................the first two lines may be my favorites. but in line three, do you mean to write to rulers? some other favorite lines: not a human will left alive to tell the story of mankind and its spectacular fall from glory ................yes, some of mankind's existence has been glorious i guess, but plenty has not been. : ( thanks for sharing. bri :)
