11/04/07 Poem by Benjamin Markham

11/04/07

My patience came to the party
fashionably late
wearing plaid - cigar smoking
carrying Armani scented air.
We drank untill I forgot
how she looked - the way her hair flowed
my taste numbed
my vision blurred
my hand held out I saluted
'to our future, together'
pleased
to wait again.
