101410b Worth Waitng

little girl clutching balloons
almost in tears since noon
waiting for his dad to come
from depth hollowed rocks
aboard phoenix thru dark
pulled-up by cable racks

when the capsule showed
she jumps, let go everything
tears, run to his dad's arms
cries muted by applause
how sweet it is i'm taken
no words but pure heaven

***
pedro cortez and her daughter
in chile mine accident rescue
10/13/10
