1 Awesome God! (Speak The Word Only) Poem by Luke Easter

Praise God! Yes! He's the only 1 who is truly Awesome,
Hell No! Satan is simply not all that powerful and great,
What kind of lord and master gets locked in a bottomless bit?
Especially without his own key to unlock the gate?

There is not a mix up of words because I do mean a bottomless 'bit, '
In Webster's it's, 'two alternatives' it was Satan who chose the 'pit, '
1st Kings18: 21, 'how long between 2 opinions' which do you choose?
Only difference between fighting and quitting, the latter will surely lose.

You've seen others live their dreams while yours fade away,
Pain is forever increasing; it feels like the hurt will always stay,
Skies are dark and cloudy, so you can't tell day from night,
2nd Corinthians 5: 7 reminds us, 'walk by faith, not by sight.'

When you see only with the eyes you are easily fooled,
And therefore you have now broken God's number one rule,
Hebrew's 11: 6, "without faith it is impossible to please, "
Harvest is manifested from the planted word of your seed.

I realize that this scripture is a lot easier said than done,
Hey! Don't forget that you certainly are not the only one,
Millions of Christians the world over are suffering too,
Whatever the affliction(s) , it is not exclusively for you.

BTW, do not be a Christian but a Disciple in everything you do,
They are not the same, what's the difference between the two?
Christian's have excuses when they're unable to come through,
Looking at those who are undependable you'll see that it's true.

Did not Peter deny Christ three times? What does this prove?
In spite of that there's 1st & 2nd Peter as he continued to move,
Perfection was obtained by One yet should we still not strive?
Yes, by every breath we take, step we make long as we're alive.

Speak not by your five senses, that's hear, smell, touch, taste, see,
I only say and dwell on the positive things the bible says about me.
Read James 1: 22, 'Anyone who listens to the word but does not do, '
Romans 11: 18, ' You don't support the root but the root supports you.'

'She cried out being in labor & pain giving birth, ' Revelation 12: 2,
In 12: 4, it's the devil who wants to devour the off spring from you, '
Give thanks with Ecclesiastes 3: 1, 'to everything there is a season.'
In 5: 3, 'the dream comes through much effort' not rhyme or reason.

Jeremiah 12: 5, 'if you race with and have become tired by men, '
Ok, how can you expect to compete against the horses and win?
And if you should flee from a land in which you're feeling secure,
Will you ever be able to survive the wilderness, which is impure?

Keep in mind the two words Jesus said in Luke 8: 50, 'only believe, '
'Not sluggish, hold fast without wavering.' Hebrews 6: 12 & 10: 23,
Understanding that no matter where in the journey you're currently at,
The one & only time you'll ever find free cheese is in the mousetrap.

Matthew 10: 39, 'Jesus told His disciples you will have to drink the cup, '
It's your faith that's on trial, no matter how bitter the taste do not give up,
People have many theories but there's one way only to make it through,
All words coming out of your mouth must be what God says about you.

Acts 3: 2, 'everyday a man was carried and laid at the gate of the temple, '
Another name for it was Beautiful & yet from birth this man was a cripple,
In verses 3-6, always asking to receive gifts or alms, it was his daily talk,
But Peter said, 'In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up & walk.'

Oh everyday the pain and suffering is worse than exceedingly great,
As most if not all of your bills are not months but they are years late,
So it is obvious things aren't even going remotely close to your plan,
Okay, 'Yeah though I walk the valley' not sob I'm stuck in quicksand.

Do not be afraid, fear not, never quit and under no circumstances stop,
Just remember in any & all occasions cream will always rise to the top,
The ache with increasing pain, seemingly never ending mounting debt,
But there is still one and only one Creator, this you should never forget.

The Shunammite woman's son died, she laid him on the Prophet's bed,
However, she still spoke faith from her heart not the sight from her head,
2nd Kings 15-36, the son she longed for had passed yet what did she tell?
Told her servant, 'do not slacken your pace' before and after, 'It is well.'

King James, Jeremiah 51: 27, 'set ye up a standard in the land, '
Don't do some or most but always do the absolute best you can,
Isaiah 43: 2, 'passing through the waters they shall not overflow,
Neither shall you be burned by the heat when flames are aglow.'

We must not live our lives by the world's majority,
And the Word of GOD must be our final Authority,
Before there was none, after there will be no more,
Go not by what we see to determine what's in store.

Surely, stuff is so high up to your neckline it feels like you will choke,
2nd Corinthians 5: 14-18, now is not the time to be unequally yoked,
Question? Who would dare to sacrifice their only loving innocent son?
It wasn't done for us to be negative, have respect for the Awesome 1.
