043. Unfinished Journey Of A Soldier Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

With a heartful great dream,
With a soulful hope and desire,
Rony joined the regiment of Army.
A great hero of country he would be,
Expect'd his friends and neighbours.
With life and death, with hope and despair
He spent six months' training period.

Mother's eyes brimm'd with tears
When she thought- very soon,
Would return home her little boy;
When she thought- her dearest Rony,
Not a little child presently
But a great hero of country.

Suddenly happen'd the Battle of Kargil.
After seven days, came back home
Not her little Rony but his corpse
With hundred pieces sealed in a coffin.

Mother's eyes brimm'd with tears again
But nobody could know whether
For the glorious death of her son
Or in a fury at the warmongers.
Only the sweet moments remained for ever
In the temple of tender heart of a maiden
For whose love Rony became an Indian Soldier.
