042810e After Thirst

cliff's roots weighted with water
swinging to earth's revolution
stop-over for thirsty feathers
they sing courting melodies
spread their wings to attract
females to raise their pretty tails

some refuse to leave build their nest
on cracks and crevices; safe haven
easy take-off for training the youngs
filling the valleys with chirping lullabys
which attracts lizards and other reptiles
an eco-balance; ways of nature i admire
