i'm looking at the bridge
cradling the rising sun
color of m &m candy
cars are like matchbox
rolling three miles long
between two towers
i can see flashing lights
fast as my heartbeats
reflecting on calm surface
of chesapeake bay
where oystermen roam
seeking bivalves cove
arm with long heavy tongs
blindly reaching down below
sometimes comes up; beer cans
faded dolls with complete arms
not so different playing slot machine
so many strokes and very little gain
