you are eating lunch when i came
crab legs, shrimp chinese noodles
with sweet steaming jasmine rice
you could have noticed my hunger
you offered me a place on the table
i wash my hands and joined you feast

we talk like some other days past
today only four of us showed up
beginning of the month maintenance
impede on daily spiritual fellowship
i have a lot of long stories told
i didn't notice my food became cold

few others trickled in, i don't know them
but faces i could have seen somewhere
one guy started singing with karaoke
he could rock this whole world to play
i even forgot it's already two in afternoon
i tell you when you're enjoying time is soon
