If life disappoints your hopes,
Be niether sad, nor mad,
In days of dejection prove obedience:
Believe a better day is not in the distance.

The future comforts one`s heart,
The present is cheerless:
All is instantly, everything is to be gone,
And only when it`s gone it will become sweet!

Translated from Russian. The poet Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin 'Yesli Jizn Tebya Obmanet'

a simple truth to forget dismayed dreams, and aim for Hope. Nicely written! 10

Thank for adding her part of Pushkin poem :) I also like this his poems: I loved you, and I probably still do, and for a while the feeling may remain... But let my love no longer trouble you, I do not wish to cause you any pain, I loved you; and the hopelessness I knew, the jealousy, the shyness, thought in vain made up the love so tender and so true as may grant GOD you, to be loved again.
