Pierre Lien Poems

foot to foot i travel
looking for the yellow key
to my room of marbles
...

leave me be
for i am shaking hands with friendly sharks

blame not them
...

All around the pond nature seems
dead. The murky surface of the
water, like a rusted copper mirror,
covers the fish that linger like corpses,
...

banners raised and visage blocked
people gathering for a purpose to be
contributions to institutions
...

i forced my eyes open when i entered the gate of hell.
the rascals continued their usual deeds,
heckling and tormenting every visitor they reluctantly welcome.
...

it was one of those times when i stare
into a black hole and wonder what's inside,
when i know for a fact that unless i put
my finger in, i won't be able to know.

Pilgrimage Pains

foot to foot i travel
looking for the yellow key
to my room of marbles

eyebrows quite relaxed
raised towards the inner roof
of my hearty box

shoulders sinking in
sunday schedule preaching him
shaping hearts to squares

head against the door
could not take it anymore
things are bible black

wishes not to ask
questions never answered thus
nowhere to depart
