Ebola! One Last Time

It stole my dignity
The warmness in their hearts
I, they considered close
If they had an option now
They would put me on planet Pluto

Only a week ago
I was jovial
handshakes, hugs and even kisses
Ebola stole all of them
Medics say I'm positive

Don't you think I deserve,
One last Handshake?
A goodbye hug from my relatives?
Of course I'm dying!
It's sad I can't even get a sendoff kiss?

Medics!
Can't you dress my family and friends?
With protective suits?
So that I can hug them,
And feel the warmth of goodbye?

Quarantine is the worst jail,
Mentally, physically and emotionally!
Good old friends and my family
They can't see me!
No one is allowing them!

I'm sure
My mother would hug me
A sendoff goodbye hug
And risk the chance of getting 'it'
Her love for me, its even stronger

I've learned to appreciate
Those handshakes and a hugs
Closeness of people to me
Get Ebola!
The world will spit you

We are all equal in dignity
Different in law
Less Human with Ebola
You will know
When you get it
As they are treating us!
