Patricia Etienne Poems

Home of the safe
Here are your options
You can be silent
Or be silenced
...

Midnight hour sets on the clock

Mother moon, lights up the deep black sky
...

Gazing upon the rocky grey mountain peaks
Abruptly, particle of rocks avalanche break away
Rush down the surface of the mountain
and shake the ground into bitter disaster
...

The scenery is empty

Not even a ground squirrel
...

It's Tuesday again
My day off
And company has nothing to lend,
Occupied has my friends
...

For I have no place in this world.
I am of what's been said.
My father in spirit
The past is gone,
...

Simply Tuesday morning, a day just like the ordinary
But to some Lucifer's hearts,
It's planned to be a day in hell
And continues to be a hellish memory to some.
...

Oh great wisdom Sage of wondrous time

Shine up your great eyes on the women of India as they have been under difficulties
...

Just early dawn
Clear blue sky
Hear the birds singing behind the glass window.
She stands in the midst of her horizon
...

Always a pleasure,

never a dull moment,
...

It hurts to feel
When you have a dream
A very funny dream
That is bigger than your thoughts
...

I'm the product of what he had written for centuries ago
A figment of his visions the rest are yet to come.
An envoy with a different portrait among so many
Thu my perspective and intention are of his directions
...

I know you feel what I feel
The fluttering sensation
The erratic rhythm
That is raising the scale of an irrational love
...

Judge me three times before Hephaestus
Judge me seven times before Aeglaeca
Judge me twenty one times before Abaddon
Many judgments hath unleashed upon my ways
...

I slide and fall into a dicey drench
Effortlessly,
I pull aside
Still…
...

I am the creation of the higher up
Can't be the specimen of Virgin Mary
Can best be the seed of Aphrodite
Created to please-
...

For so I am a woman
All fingers are pointing at me
All eyes are fixating on me
All verdicts are going against me
...

The old church bell rings midnight hour.
So abrupt this visitor plunges into her body,
with no formal invitation,
No friendly welcome,
...

The double doors open.
Enter a lady in a black veil
Complete silence break lose
Just like a midnight hour cemetery
...

Simply feels like yesterday
But it has been awhile now
I remember all vividly
How it felt
...

Patricia Etienne Biography

Born and in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and partly raised in the state of Bronx, New York. As a child she was brought up without a father figure and was then immigrated to the United States. It was through rough times that her interest in writing poetry, science fiction started. She would scrabble down everything that made her upset in her journal. Etienne's late father has always been a source of inspiration for her. Even in high school she participated in writing script drama and song texts. With the idea that someday she would express her thoughts to the world. After High school Etienne attended College with an undecided major in mind. Instead she focused more of her time concentrating on areas she was most likely interested in, such as Music, Theater, and Early childhood education. Later on in life, with the inspiration of Marguerite D'youvil 'The Grey Nuns' Etienne attended nursing school. It was through her nursing experiences, she developed a spectrum of ideas and also a new understanding of everyday living. It was then her writing came to life. Etienne is a revolutionary writer who is passionate about her work. She writes at the spur of the moment. You will find that her writing reflects onto many forms of modern life. For examples, her short stories: “The Battered Scarecrow” and “When Black Smoke Invades.” Still working as a full time nurse, she continues to write with any chance given and also includes time for her three children, husband.)

The Best Poem Of Patricia Etienne

I’d Rather Be Safe

Home of the safe
Here are your options
You can be silent
Or be silenced
Because if you’re not
There will be violence
And though there is
No one to guide us
There are rules there
For guidance
You can challenge
Your liberty
But in the end
There is a key
To lock you up
And hold you back
Just in case
There is attack
You’re only safe
If you stay quiet
These written words
You must abide by
The land of the free
And home of the brave
Should be re-written
to home of the safe?
