Parker Griffith Poems

Oh how I wish I would wake in the morning to see,
To see what glorious things happen to be waiting for me.
What ripe adventure could begin anew,
Spring forth with joy in all I say and do.
...

A love poem.

My flamingo in June:
...

And through the darkness I saw the light
It was flashing before my eyes
Brightening the skies
And it was then that I realized
...

My solace from a broken world
My Nirvana in this living hell
Where empty stares and smiles dwell
My pump to keep this young heart going
...

A million lights dart before my eyes
Standing out against the palest shades of oblivion
They beckon me to self destruction
While distracting me from eternity
...

God in your infinite wisdom
And infinite might
Won’t you let my mind rest
Bring me to light
...

Twisted,
Beaten,
Broken,
Battered,
...

Oh won’t you save me
From myself
I’ve already tried
And there’s no one else.
...

And as the world turns
We sit love and learn
We desire to create
We inspire to yearn
...

The wind plays through the trees
Like my own private orchestra
Yet I’m wasting away
Like a rose in a storm.
...

I feel the tiny bittersweet droplets flow
The salty taste fills my mouth and my mind.
You know I knew you once, way back when.
Though it troubles me now, it's hard to find.
...

12.

I said is there anything for me?
Don't try to ignore me.
I've been here, it's boring.
Sure this war may look gory,
...

Well it's a beautiful mornin
I can hardly believe my eyes
Nothin but open air
And bright blue skies.
...

14.

My mind, it feels electric
Slightly buzzing, slightly hectic.
Pushin me closer to the brink,
The water pulses toward the void.
...

The moon is so bright in the sky tonight
But I can't help but feel it's the same
I could stare up at you forever
Forever I could go insane
...

Parker Griffith Biography

I'm a dreamer, an idealist, I have a grudge against realists, I'm looking for love, I'm looking for change, and yet I wish it would all stay the same, I'm tired of hate, I'm inspired to create, try as I might I can't believe in fate, I'm a loner, I'm a stoner, a typical college student poppin a boner, I'm competitive as hell if you couldn't already tell, I bottle up my emotions, what you see is a shell, sometimes I try to hard, sometimes not at all, I learn how to run before I ever crawl, but through everything only one thing's for certain, I'm tired of this already, I'm done, close the curtain. 'Don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out alive.'-Ryan Reynolds)

Oh How I Wish

Oh how I wish I would wake in the morning to see,
To see what glorious things happen to be waiting for me.
What ripe adventure could begin anew,
Spring forth with joy in all I say and do.
I'd show the world who's boss by the end of the day,
Just to go to sleep and start all over again.
But those days they seem no more than a dream.
Now life passes me by,
Or so it may seem.
If the world were my oyster I'd leave it unshucked,
And thank god it's not; if it were we'd be f***ed.
But speaking in riddles never solved a thing.
So here I am.
Just a bored lonely kid.
With his hopes.
And his dreams.
