Like an associate of beaten dogs
everybody runs.
Like a horse beaten in the head
run all.

Since the time
he was given a knicker,
he's never dreamt of
buying a pair of trousers

Running Associates

Like an associate of beaten dogs
everybody runs.
Like a horse beaten in the head
run all.
Like a senseless tortoise
embarking on a senseless journey
run all,
antagonising one another.

Like a lonely mango on its tree
Seats ME with a million issues foaming
In my head, with my eyes opened.
Where are they RUNNING to?
Why are they RUNNING?
For whom are they RUNNING?
From where are they RUNNING?

To the Rock;
For their egocentric mouths,
Not for me, you, us; but their Bellies
“Marky-Lucky” again when we’re on fire.
From their FEARS, for they’re
Nouveaux Riches.

Don’t others have legs to RUN too?
Why are the familiar faces reappearing?
The grass-roots must be wise.
Yes, they, we must...
They’re swamp of locust.
They’re bunch of fools.
Yes, skinny husbands of ugly baboons,
Ready again to take us in.

The general MATCH
Is only their concern.
No citizen is a man to them.

To think they would force every citizen
To take ticket ‘nd hail their MATCH
Is an arduous road to mounting the Rock
In a home flamed of fire.

Must they RUN again?
The Rock isn’t meant for them alone.
Give space for others to PLAY too.

Should I learn to SHOOT?
If they’re not giving us peace
Then, we’ve got to snatch from them our peace.

We no go ‘gree o
We no go ‘gree!
To RUN us again,
We no go ‘gree.

The Marks of their slaps
Are luckily designly left on our faces.
From ‘Feather to Stat’-rock’
Are all stillbirths.
I’m sure fifteen shall be a STILLBORN
For them, those RUNNING associates.
Oh! Let’s stand to RUN them off.
