Though our land flows with milk and honey
Yet in distress and poverty we cry and pray

Out in the middle of moist misery
Lost in the dilemma department of my mind
Looking but not seeing
Almost getting blind

Calm is the air, the sun is late
i lie and hope to flip my state
to blissful solemn unconsciousness
but then my eyes let them through to my brain

An obsessive race of heightened fright
To a misty world beyond my sight
Did i indulge in toxic wine?
Just when will i reach my deadline?
...

I spent a million years waiting on hope
At a busy junction of indecision
Where demons tease and angels beg
But mankind chose to rule their own
...

Take my ageing soul back home
Listen to my mother's lengthy tales
Of loneliness and raining tears
And against hope she stood for God
...
