Olatunde Temitayo Poems

1.

Sky! This is your sad season
The groaning hours have come
Arriving here with reason
Your weeping time is born
...

Just like a dream
When my legs arrived this citadel
Inside a hall my hands found itself
Entertained with simple hard questions
...

It's time my mind travelled to Paradise
Move gently with my soul and body
My soul will drive my body
And body will drive my soul
...

ABIJAH IS IN LOVE

You are the love of my life
The eyeballs I can't live without
...

Shall you please make me a girl,
An admiring sensual gem,
Plant cluster of two oranges on my chest,
To eliminate my flat chest;
...

6.

My wings and feathers keep feathering,
They make my mortality visible and invincible,
I’ve once been here; once will I go and come;
I flew from here and I am still here,
...

Abijah as coming region
Madness, the pictorial onlooker
Human wish not to be the actor
Eyes are eying my madness
...

Along the street of mischief
Dwellers are not yet relief
Sonorous sobs sounding there and
there
...

They say; I am what I know I am not...
Ever since I came, father, mother,
And all treat me like a transcendental being
There is always a sense of apprehension
...

Lonely like a sun I am,
Sitting under withered tree as shield;
Four-Legged wood bear my body,
My left leg rides the other;
...

BURY ME
If tomorrow I remain not in this world
Because of deadly pie I wish to eat
Baked through oil of shame
...

Sky

Sky! This is your sad season
The groaning hours have come
Arriving here with reason
Your weeping time is born
To shed tears on lands
And fertile the barren lands
Filled with dry sands
Sky! Tell thunder its time to sing dirge
Tell him to shout at lands' pests
Tell him to roar at farm's parasites
Who are terrorists in plants' domicile
