Olaniyi Ololade Moses Poems

1.

When angry Earth went crimson
And distant sky wink torment
When despair rules your days
Never be weary
...

We sing a hymn of hope
While we tramp on the rough road.
We embrace serpents and scorpions,
Fondling us in maniacal glee.
...

Adultery shattered my fame
Lust has defiled my name
I left my strenght on her laps
...

I was stoned by fear of yesterday,
Cob-webs of flaws battled my face,
Stabed by impurity of days,
For i don't know, if i will rise.
...

I've seen a kingdom fell,
Crown totter in silence,
Power meander in darkness,
On the laps of Delilah.
...

Why do we have to sing the
ragae of sorrow,
And dance to the gbedu of
bitterness?

Though this world is a railroad to death

Though fire becomes a rhythm on my tongue

Hope

When angry Earth went crimson
And distant sky wink torment
When despair rules your days
Never be weary
There's hope

Blue fishers with blue eyes
Fished all night without fish
When patience stab your face
Never be weary
There's hope

When red ink adorn your papers
And failure smile like friend
When success loathe your home
Never be weary
There's hope

Stinking Lazarus in the grave
Buried in the sepulchre of shame
When fate kill your faith
Never be weary
There's hope

Hapless being in a dirty slum
Clad in a tattered tog
When hunger raid your joy
Never be weary
There's hope.
