The dread that comes with the night,
Proud, persistent, wanting in pity for my plight.
He draws my tears,
Wracks my frame with my horrors and fears

I would think of night and day,
Of dogs and wolves that bay.
The unity of darkness and light,
The beauty that comes of twilight
...

Lovely princess of life,
She, the genuine beauty of existence!
Nary is her kind rife,
For she is the wild and the garden in the fence!

My love is dumb,
Though it plays not numb.
I thought to listen to it today
To hear what it always had to say.

He crept up innocent,
You knew death was imminent.
He crept up looking for food,
You knew he was done for good.

A truth it is that man's joy is incomplete,
But passion is everything, this I do posit.
I find mine in the depth of your eyes,
The thick of your deep spasmodic sighs;

Lithe lady lurking around the trees
Taunting me,
Deftly ducking into the bushes
Taunting me.

I am in view of light,
In sight of peace
Quite within freedom
It is, within my grasp...

You and I have been for 17 moons
Seventeen I would rather stretch for eternity
But precious Providence's boons
Allows for new times everyday

I heard water once covered the Sahara,
That its pitiful plains were filled with impala,
But time and season did draw them apart.
Save apocalypse, what can unite the ocean and the desert?
