Waves Of Change

As i take this final pull from my reflection tube, I'm reminded to fix my thoughts on something that's sure to improve.

Still feeling as if I'm inside out on the upside down schedule that expired months ago.

Deadlines never met, projects overlapped, debts never ending. My sanity is quickly waning.

Feeling invincible results in biting off more than I can chew.
Now, seeking clear visions while choking on these spirits, making me curse my weepy baby blues. Heart made heavy and wishing I had brown ones too.

A lifetime of swapping masks and roles daily, left trails of misinterpretations and inverted intentions.

Parachutes constantly pulled from Heaven, tethered to anchors, capsizing every vessel disguised as dream makers.

Pieces of a thousand 'Me's' litter city streets for miles. Then that sudden impulse to be whole again, sends me frantically searching all the piles.

Flashing lights surround me, sirens in the midst. Just as I'm pulling over, it is clear that those 'Me's' had long been dismissed.

Bright light approaching, overwhelms me as I reach for my credentials. Silently, I'm cursing darkness for it first cracked that Halo On the head of Miss Goody Two Shoes, who was always dodging trouble.

That is, until she snagged that wave which finally pushed her under. Mama's looking glass that once was promised turned out defective.
Too much pressure in this child's life forced her to leave it all behind, Neglected.
