This is my plea
Let me be free

Freedom comes when all is lost
The prize paid at great cost
When nothing's left and no hope
No more need to try to cope

Just going along, doing my thing
Come what may, where it might lead
Upstream or down it matters not
Seeking peace but alone is what I need
...

Sinking, sinking into the night
As proceeds the dying of the light

Naught but I know where this trends
...

It is all just an illusion
A painful, bloody contusion
Reality so adverse
Silently rage and curse
...

The noose is loose, cessation induce
A lead pellet will end the mad zealot
A lungful of gas to bring it to pass
Bottles of pills will end all the ills
...

The night is dark and full of terrors
The most terrible are my own errors

Evil beasts feast upon brightest light
...

The darkness grows apace
Where does it grow quicker?
Outside or in my heart?
I've never won the sticker
...

He came for us sinners
Now we are the winners
That's what we are told
But if I may be so bold
...

The darkness approaches time after time
It comes without reason, it comes without rhyme

Slowly it creeps up to my soul
To attack it without a drum roll
