Nina Dringo Poems

If you shriek loud enough
Maybe someone will hear you
And check if you are all right.

2.

I am just walking
Walking slowly
Walking
...

3.

Suicide is a sin
They say
But have they felt my pain?
...

How lovely the world is
In September

Warm air
...

Don't cry, child
For children starving far away
For homeless people on the streets
Begging for change.
...

6.

Whoever hates gay people
Needs a wake up call
So here you go.
...

There will come a time
When I am the only one left
I can feel it
...

I have driven myself
Into the darkest hole imaginable
Where you cannot even dream of light
...

Watch out
All you ant squashers
Fly zappers
Spider killers
...

How amazing it is
That this planet exists at all
That we have air to breathe
Water to drink
...

11.

We all
Hurt others
Unconsciously
Or aiming for pain
...

Sometimes
When I am especially quiet
I can hear the stars laughing
The rain pouring far away
...

13.

Scientists say
That we only use ten percent of our brain
That all of our memories
Are stored inside
...

14.

Look
At the sky
So blue
So bottomless
...

The moon
Seems to shine on it's own
But it is really
A reflection of the sun
...

16.

I am dead
But I don't know this for sure
I am floating
Somewhere
...

17.

My lips are zipped
Silent
Why
...

I am someone
Who laughs for no reason
Who dances in the rain
Who cries for starving children.
...

From where I sit
I can see
A lonely blue hill
...

Every time I see you
My heart lights up
I laugh.

The Best Poem Of Nina Dringo

Enough

If you shriek loud enough
Maybe someone will hear you
And check if you are all right.

If you cry hard enough
Maybe someone will come
And wipe a tear off of your cheek.

If you laugh long enough
Maybe your joy will pass
To those you love most.

If everything we do
Impacts something else
Someone else

Why do we hate?
Why do we start wars
That are unnecessary?

Why don't we care
About other human lives
And instead continue surviving selfishly?

I don't claim to be brilliant
Smart, even
Not dumb

All I know
Is this
And it's enough.
