Nikita Poffley Poems

So don’t change the fact
The moment never had
Never came
So don’t change the fact
...

The thoughts of you are in my head, like the scars in my skin
They each bring back memory, of what could be
But you chose her over me
...

Together we stand,
Hand in hand,
Our hearts together as one.
Our love is as strong as any other,
...

What do you see when you look around?
Do you see people looking at the ground?
Do you see people true?
And their real identity doesn’t shine through?
...

This feeling lurking within,
Crawling under my skin.
Sending shivers down my spine,
As it stabbing away at my heart.
...

The skies seem grey, the wind seems cold,
The seasons seem short, and minutes seem long,
Things that made me happy only make me sad;
Without you, life doesn’t have a point,
...

Change is good but change can hurt.
It depends on how open your mind is and how much your willing to give up.
Change is all around us, and if we accept it we can easily move on.
But if we reject we can only move backwards and never see what tomorrow will bring.

You never knew how I felt.
You never returned these feelings I had for you,
All these emotions of hatred and love,
Were mixed emotions.
...

It is only an article of clothing,
With a front and back.
It is comfortable and soft,
With a special scent.

Do you know how it feels to be left out in the dark?
To have somebody touch you, then break your heart.
Because if you do then you must know exactly where to start
...

I’m sick and tried of being yelled at.
I’m sick and tired of having what’s important to me tossed aside.
I hate it here! I can’t stand it!
Everything is more important then what I want and need.
...

The thoughts of you are in my head, like the blood in my veins.
They each go through my body, bringing back memories that hurt.
I can see your face and it brings tears to my eyes.
I never got the chance to tell you how much you mean to me.
...

What happened to the girl with bows in her hair?
What happened to the girl who kept herself in line?
What happened to her life?
What happened to her safety net?
...

So many hours I wait by the window hoping to see you walk through my front door.
So many hours I have regrets of not being there to catch you.
So many hours I wait to be with you once again.
I know you’re gone but so many times I have seen you walking ahead.

Hey Mom;
I took your advice
And I didn’t even drink a drop
But my friends are too drunk to know

The Moment Never Had

So don’t change the fact
The moment never had
Never came
So don’t change the fact
My moment didn’t last
And I never did want to blame you
So don’t change the fact
That my moment was never had
I never really wanted it that bad
So don’t change the fact
The moment never had
Never was supposed to happen
So don’t change the fact
So don’t change the fact
The moment never had
Never came……
