Nicholas Titus Poems

We live in a world made out of money
We are the bees and that is our honey
We live in a world that can be bought in a store
We live in a world that doesn’t care anymore
...

A Pen and A pad
Release’s all of the feelings I have had
They take it in or jot it down
Words that make me smile or frown
...

As the earth runs away from this plane
Its distant lights jogging off in the distance
The sun will attempt to cut us off as it always does
Sneaking up from behind the mountains
...

Secretly I drift away & dream about you
Secretly we are wed
This thought dances endlessly in my head
Secretly I kiss you before I close my eyes to sleep
...

The grand ole jury as some might say
Judging you on judgment day
These five wicked souls who send you to plunder
What of the fifth, I wonder I wonder
...

You view me as super-human or extraordinary
My mirror looks back with opinions that vary
You say I am amazing and I melt your heart
My memories only give doubt to your hopeful heart
...

A dark slow night it brings to me
This moon lit shadow this man I see
His head hangs low beneath the light
His movement slow this moon lit night
...

When I'm with you
It feels as though
I closed my eyes
And
...

I close my eyes
I count these sheep
I hear my breath
I attempt to sleep
...

10.

Darkness
No light before you arrived
Now my surroundings so bright
They're darkness deprived
...

11.

Stuck in first gear
Trapped sitting here
Lost on A dead end street
I want to run but I can't move my feet
...

He stands in the mirror
Thoughts fly through his head
But he wishes they were clearer
Toe to toe
...

For I have seen many things in my life
For I am only the age of 20
But yet I have seen plenty
Plenty of joy
...

This Cruel World

We live in a world made out of money
We are the bees and that is our honey
We live in a world that can be bought in a store
We live in a world that doesn’t care anymore
The government who rules our day
Likes for you to think that you have a say
A group of old men who think they can rule
They make us out to look like fools
They do not care for poverty
Only care for property
If only your voice could sway
The decisions made throughout the day
