Natasha Hochar Poems

In silence you, in silence me
laying in distance, opposing infinities
In silence true, in silence free
staying in resistance to such frailty
...

I pined to become weightless
Closed my eyes and thought I'd take this
I wanted to be nameless
I began to rise and thought I could wake this
...

Moon after moon is reborn and waning,
and I am here anticipating.
The tide is rising and waves are crashing
where my footprints once signed the shore
...

In the chaos,
the astounding pandemonium,
peace dawned.
...

What encompasses me is this
I am entangled and estranged
A moment in a dimension of bliss
Is now so strangled and so changed.
...

The fortress stands strong tonight in Zion
And the black sky ascends to slowly touch its defeat
The galaxy lingers above, and glitters with Orion
And the sea crumbles willingly at Love's feet
...

Your flame has burnt out a long time ago
but your light still travels a distance left empty and cold.
Fading away you hold on to a rope of past times
and sceneries where you once thought you'd shone
...

Natasha Hochar Biography

Hello there! I'm Natasha, an official member of this planet since 1990. My love affair with poetry and literature began the moment I became literate. I'm from Lebanon, a middle eastern country bordering Syria and Palestine, holding Beirut as its capital, the Mediterranean for its sea and Arabic as its native language. I have a weakness for interesting or beautiful ideas and their portrayals, whether they are manifested in literature, music, visually, or verbally. I am as curious as the cat who died, and I seek knowledge on a daily basis. When I am not submerged by human perceptions, I am fascinated by and looking up the facts of this world, of its nature, of its creatures, and of the universe holding it.)

In silence you, in silence me
laying in distance, opposing infinities
In silence true, in silence free
staying in resistance to such frailty
Unbalance you, unbalance me
leaving wisdom to its deity
Shatter sheilds, embrace the tree
lost of you and lost of me
In thoughts recurring, come to be
A passing dust in humanity.

Fool you, and fool me
Cruel you, and cruel me.

With violence we've killed the galaxy
Weighing persistence on a scale of stupidity
Star by star, demolished to debris
Portraying the remnants of our debility
Intolerance of you, intolerance of me
Slaying ideas to mortality
Battlefields as far as the eye can see
Kill most of you, and most of me
Bought and sold the land and sea
We're the crash dump of society.

Fool you, and fool me
Cruel you, and cruel me.
