Mylah Ferrer Poems

Tis the changing of the seasons
where the midnight sun meets the day,
and time stands still, eerily unmoving
summer and winter at same.
...

Tip... tap... tippity... tap
drops of water falls in delicate ripples
lulling my mind to succumb to nap
cooling the senses as the day sizzles
...

t'was a warm, humid June night
far away a candle flickers in sight
can't sleep, my love cried
drops salty, sweet on his cheek ride
...

there's a certain dull emptiness
boring down my lowly being
for having lost what was not gained
...

A life is like a droplet of water that falls in rain, gathers in a puddle at the sidewalk and trampled by hurried feet of everyday. Crawling slowly it makes its way to hidden crevices in the ground or silently flows into small streams at the side of the road. The earth drink its fill, scorchingly thirsty by man's lust and greed.

... memory stays...
in ambivalent phases of regret and gratitude,
of lost time, of angst,
of love and passion,

A week has passed since i had you in my arms, loving and cherishing each stolen moment. It was a lovely dream, having to have you at last, and yet... not so. I pretended. I believed what was happening was true, wished it would never have to end because I can't bear to feel the pain again like how I do now, with you gone. You're water I tried to hold that slips through my fingers after moment.

My footsteps echo in hollow sounds;
Confused, uncertain, laden with pain
Why must I die too often to believe
There could be such thing of beauty.
...

Only in silence i find my true self
Fleeting moments of darkness and light
of my joys and my griefs
And on my wonder and the mysteries i find
...

Hocus pocus
mindful focus
will you direct the course?

The rain falls softly on my shoulders silently pleading...
Dear heart, when will your suffering end?
Stop and listenas the skies cry out for your throbbing ache
As the hands of time lashes again,

This is where the sand and the sea
reveres each magnificent sunrise
until it bids goodbye;
Bowing gracefully to the lord of the night.
...

the wind blew but time stands still
the world stands unmoving
life on hold, love on the loose

Somewhere in the land of the friendliest,
Is a secret place many found but kept
In memories alive with longing of return;
For me, paradise found

When Monalisa flashes that strange knowing smile,
Not one but her creator shares the sad secret in
the ghost of a touch, the shadowed look, the glimpse.
What price perfection?

The Best Poem Of Mylah Ferrer

Summer Solstice

Tis the changing of the seasons
where the midnight sun meets the day,
and time stands still, eerily unmoving
summer and winter at same.

Oh, earthy eccentricity
in heavens, a touch of divine
the lofty stars get mingled in confusion,
Cancer and capricorn dance

Goddess of spring, maidens of earth,
Dakshinayana offerings,
in placid twilight, the ghost sun lingers
A god's fleeting shadow veiled.
