LETTER TO JULY

Dear July,
I salute the power in those four letters

Life after death

Dear survivors
I welcome you, which is the least I could do

Once a baboon, Still a baboon

Then, they came
With polished liberty and golden game

Motherland Or Murderland

Motherland or Murderland

After all the trials and fights against invaders
After the triumph against selfish disguised traders
To win a war by unity
Only to be ruined into a state of plurality.

My ancestral home
Blessed with the richest of milk and honey
Yet generations die of starvation daily

My origin
A land without natural disaster
But we suffer more havoc than a Tsunami

'The labour of our Heroes past'
Have long been in vain
We now stand divided and fall in unity

I start to wonder
Should you really be called 'Motherland '? , I ponder
When your citizens hide behind a silly cause
And slay themselves, then put it on silly curse

With misinterpretations of scriptures
We have been driven out of sanity
Into a world that care less about humanity

I'm a little curious
Who do we call upon when we say
'Arise o compatriots'?
Are they the one's slit by their throat?
Or the one's who slit them by the throat?

Dear motherland
What will be left of you?
When we can barely survive
From all these war and thrive
Who will see us through?
