The rolling hills, lovely meadows
Trees of all sizes and types
Many bushes lining the trails
The might river cutting thru the park

I first saw you in the lot
Shiny and new, a beautiful red
The rally rims, the racing look
Sporty and fast, slick and slim

A parade to remember the fallen soldiers
The Color Guard marches in stride
Proudly carry the colors
The aging veterans wearing uniforms of the past

To feel the wind blow
Seeing the the sun shine so bright
The feel of grass between the toes
Smelling the scent of beautiful flowers

Independence Day, a wonderful day
Freedom, love, celebration, togetherness
Country pride and joy all around
Flags and banner flying high
