Michael L. Williams Poems

I come to you with healing hands
to make you feel better.
I'll be your company
until the lonesome darkness comes.
...

You brighten each day
the scent of peach
the blush of dawn
the humor of a million.
...

Winter's brink
fireballs descend
cliffs
Half-Dome naked

Take Away The Pain

I come to you with healing hands
to make you feel better.
I'll be your company
until the lonesome darkness comes.
Tell me you're better
tell me to stay
to hold you lovingly
and take the pain away.
When you walk tightropes
way up in the sky
balancing on false limbs
the cancer walking beside you.
I'll look up and cheer you on
catching you if you fall.
Tell me you're better
tell me to stay
to hold you lovingly
and take the pain away.
You walked away suddenly
no more needed care
you wore health's halo new
my tears of gladness in your hair
healing love was there.
