In certain corners you can find
A sorry sound ring through my mind
A loss, a tragedy, a simple truth
maybe saved if noticed sooner.

Death is what we are.
It is our fear and our sorrow
Death is emotion,
The constant knowledge that everything ends

Scarlett

Where do you go when the whole worlds against you,
the dark empty void becomes something of a notion.
She was small, pretty in pink
As my eyes rose up and I saw her in this perfect place
I couldn’t help the smile which spread across my face.
Her hair shone like the sun on a clear day,
eyes which sparkle like the stars at night
Twinkling and shining and lighting up the darkness.
She was an angel in disguise her presence made me realise
I could not live without her, how I know I wont survive.

She looks at me with joy - is it now and even how?
I did not know what to say she would surely stay away.

She approached me now my heart was racing faster.
Beats that banged against my chest and the sweat upon my face
No words are spoken as we embrace and dance, as if were in a never ending trance
The nerves inside my body scream and cry for silent harmony
But nothing could have stopped me for I surely loved her totally.

As she smiled at me I felt something new within my body
Was this happening? Could this be? This was surely so surreal.
These thoughts rush through me as I look into her eyes
I was captivated, entranced even lost inside her beauty.
I could not help this feeling, If there ever was a chance,
this would surely be my moment, now or never was my chant
As it echoed through my head like bells inside a church
Her lips moved as she spoke just a few simple words.

She said her name was Scarlett, as I stuttered for a kiss
Moving in for the moment where our lips would meet in ecstasy
Back she protested, back, forever she dismissed
I struggled for the words so I just muttered - sorry.
Turns out the simple truth was that she was already due to marry
Which was what she moved towards me for, before I tried to kiss her,
All she tried to do was tell me in a whisper.
The story of my life, left to cry under the night,
For my love who now is gone as we never became one.
