We have all heard about the Cowboy poets and their infamous escapades with the bovines, equines, cowboys, cowgirls and the. other various things that happen around the ranch. Well, I'm here to tell you there are some escapades around the farm too that are worthy of the telling.

Like today for instance. But to tell it correctly, I have to let you know it didn't begin today, it began yesterday. It happened like this.

Merle Steinmann Biography

I grew up in a rural area. My parents were farmers. I intended to follow in their footsteps but after an unsuccessful attempt, gave it up and became a teacher. Writing is something that I have wanted to do for a long time. Hopefully, I will put a number of things out there. I welcome your thoughts and comments. Happy writing!)

The Best Poem Of Merle Steinmann

Easter Cantata

Pretty,
Smiling,
Intelligent,
Inspirational.

She stands before us.

She calls us to our feet,
We arise in anticipation.

She smiles,
She knows something we do not.

We are afraid.

She raises her arms.
She moves them to the tempo.

The music begins.
She looks in our eyes.
She mouths the words.

Her weeks of hard work,
Her night’s without sleep.

All comes together.

Suddenly,
From within us
Comes this expression.

Of beauty,
Of sound,
Of truth,
Of love.

To me, Merle, this is a riddle. No reason a riddle can't be a poem, or vice versa, but this riddle... I can't solve. But as baptism, it's great. p.s. edit your profile and add me to friends.
