Melody Stargaze Poems

I could be sitting in the rain,
Or in terrible pain,
And I'd still think about you.
...

If I could turn back time,
I'd go back to our first kiss
When your lips touched mine
I was in total bliss.
...

You're three years old, sittin' on grandpa's lap,
The rain is falling from the skies.
He's humming a song so you'll take a nap.
Slowly you close your eyes.
...

I'm a hard headed woman,
With too much fight
I'm sorry

I don't do what I'm told
...

They say that love is a powerful thing,
It can make any old heart sing.
It's strong enough to make me love you,
Even though I can't be with you.
...

You called it quits and left me,
So I bit my tongue and stepped aside quietly.
It hurt like you wouldn't believe,
But I know you had to leave.
...

I've been broken, beaten, and mistreated.
And yet, I keep entering the ring.
The heartache and pain I've felt had been repeated,
But love is a beautiful thing.
...

It is a small, metalic thing
But it is my security blanket.
You wouldn't think that this ring,
Would tear me up since I've lost it.
...

V: It's cold and lonely now a days,
You hurt me in unspeakable ways.
It felt like a million razor blades.
...

You and I have known each other for years,
In that time, you've seen me in tears,
Smiling, and happy as can be,
But then cold, moping about miserably.
...

To cure a cold, you get lots of rest.
To cure the hiccups, hold your breath.
To cure a broken heart, you eat ice cream.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away,
...

Why do you want me now?
Now that I'm happy.
I don't understand how
You could still love me.
...

There are so many words that I could write,
And so many things that I could do.
Instead of killing myself over it day and night,
I'll just love you.
...

I always do this to myself,
Cause so much pain.
I need to take you off my shelf,
What is there to gain?
...

My body stiff, my mind blank,
What has happened to me?
There's only myself to thank,
There's no choice but to leave.
...

The first time I spoke to you,
With a computer screen in the way,
I didn't think it to be true,
But you took my breath away.
...

My biggest fear is death,
I'm not quite ready for it.
I'll always want one more breath,
So that's just what I'll get
...

When I was a little girl,
I was my grandfather's world.
He used to call me his angel.
...

Less than a week has gone by,
We got together and already I,
Have those terrible butterflies.
...

20.

Monday through Friday I'm required to go to school,
Academics are a pain, same with the people.
I can't stand it, am I the fool?

Keep You On My Mind

I could be sitting in the rain,
Or in terrible pain,
And I'd still think about you.

Dripping with sweat,
With my clothes all wet,
My mind is still on you.

Marching up and down a field,
My sunburn starting to peal.
And there you are in my head again.

I, who has luck with guys,
Can't seem to conquer the butterflies,
I'm head over heels.

It's not like I can just tell you,
I'm afraid of being rejected by you.
But I can't hold it in.

You make me smile when I'm down,
With you, It's impossible to frown.
I can't help myself.

One day I'll tell you,
And with luck, get to hold you.
I keep praying for that day.

So until then, I'll admire from afar.
And talk to you as we are,
And just keep you on my mind.
