Take me to the place my body seeks,
In a swirl of water: torrents, rains and streams,
Place me among the wet sands absorbing my tears,
And once again I shall be allowed to breathe.
...

Remember way back then, when,
Your rose when the sun did,
But you couldn’t tell the time,
Way back then, when,
...

.: . For Hamster :) .: .

I should write to her,
At least tell I am alive,
...

Caught in a spin,
Coiled in a twist,
My hands are tied,
My mouth is zipped.
...

The silent youth,
Never speaking a word,
Jumping at movements, not sound,
And looking constantly glum,
...

Please world don’t be too harsh,
On this boy I love so much,
I know the truth is hurting and I lie to heal the wound,
But when the crunch comes closer, it is he that will burn.
...

Do it as daddy says,
Do that even without ask,
Do it with high expectation,
Do it better, do to… perfection.
...

It’s so hard... lately worse,
To say goodbye to you,
Unravel my body from yours,
Let go of your strong hands,
...

Its comes to so naturally,
A sigh of dread, a sigh of relief,
From Monday to Thursday,
It’s been a rough week.
...

I can’t be your fool, your fool.
Can’t be wrapped in cellophane,
Put on a pink and white display.
I can’t be doting or pleasing,
...

Hazy mist fills my minds,
Fills me up, glazes my eyes,
Cripples my body,
Makes me cold…
...

Further then these rolling hills
Beyond this sky’s powerful thunder,
Longer then these boundless sea,
I long to seek safe refuge.
...

If you let me take your hand,
I will show you a new world.
If you let me lead your path,
I will show you a new way of life.
...

A polished gem sits,
On a dusty self,
Hasn’t been seen in a century or so,
Lost behind lifeless ordainments,
...

Lest we forget,
Of our fore fathers,
And their efforts
To protect us,
...

Thee take my hand,
Meet me by the fall of water,
City centre at noon.
On time,
...

The sun beats down,
Merciless and endless,
Stinging our backs,
Sweat pours down our faces,
...

To compensate, to compensate,
For happiness that doesn’t exist,
In a being, a being,
Too over joyful and the politest,
...

Say you’re having fun when we play,
Say that you love me when we kiss,
Say that your mine when you hold me.

Melissa Coventry Biography

The quintessential dreamer... One to always have my head in the clouds but thinks like my feet are on the ground... A story teller my nature... dramatic and action are my personality genres... but being the comedy of company is my best hit... A walking body of quotes.. As a profound quote is summary of a life experience and lesson.. that always isn't fully understood until the mistake is made that a profound quote warned us of... Thus the beauty of life. .: .Quote (the short version of wisdom) .: . Youl will never know unless you ask the question and have the time to listen...)

Drive To Learn, Need To Succeed...

Bogged down,
By too many pages due,
Essays and reports,
With more creative ideas,
Then one knows how to deal with,
Yet nothing but chemical formulas,
Rules of IUPAC floating around,
Crossing and analyzing on the brain…

Typing away,
In time that I could slack,
Working at notes,
While friends relax,
Thinks about their larking and some,
What I’m missing out?
Yet my mind skims over that,
Back to the articles on political fact…

Stressed over the time wasted,
On others useless conversation,
I just want to do my physics,
Learn something more interesting,
Then their mindless ranting jumbo.
And went the day is done,
Come home and de-stress…

But only for a moment though,
As I dive in the math equations,
Shakespeare and political history on referendums…

Mel writes awesomely about her own experiences and those of others, sometimes so well that you cannot distinguish between the two! Raw and honest, she touches the heart and mind of her readers, as she gives them insight to her own world. Thankyou darling... (and she's just an all-round excellent person to dance the nutbush with in hallways) ! Xx

Mel, to comment on your poems individually would be difficult as I'd run out of superlatives. Suffice to say you're an extrordinarily mature writer for your tender years and a delight to read. If I may be so bold, delightful to the eye too. Best wishes, Jerry
