The dream that autumn makes us fall into is transient...

The world drawn by its yellowing branches is transient...
...

Every morning when I look in the mirror
My father's face stands before me:
Tired, weary, run-down, pale.
His hair is white, and he, slightly hunched.

Her sabah baktığımda aynalara
Babamın çehresi karşımda durur:
Yorgun, endişeli, yıpranmış, uçuk.

Sonbaharın bizi daldırdığı rüya geçici...
Sararan dallarının çizdiği dünya geçici...
Ellerin böyle sokulgan, nefesin böyle yakın,
Bana dünyaları vadetse de içten bakışın,

La saison que je vis c'est la fin d'un bel été;
Au printemps, ni envie ni désir d'y retourner.

Ni pluies printaniéres ni vents lointains n'existent,

With Sun-Colored Wine Glasses

The dream that autumn makes us fall into is transient...

The world drawn by its yellowing branches is transient...

Your hands so inviting, your breath so close,

Even if your sincere glance promises the world,

The meaning in those sparkling eyes is transient.

One night my golden palace will be flattened by the storm,

It will pass, surely, everything…But, I must be deluded!

Before seeing the dissolution of love and hope,

With these sun-coloured wine glasses I should drink

The youth that shivers and makes the heart drunk.

Your voice is coloured by a spring song,

Your hair defies the wind..

In your young bosom, the last blossoming flower does not fear.

Come closer to my heart that drinks sorrows from vineyards,

Let us burst into laughter at the season's lamenting.

The dream that autumn makes us fall into is transient...

The world drawn by its yellowing branches is transient...

Your hands so inviting, your breath so close,

Even if your sincere glance promises the world,

The meaning in those sparkling eyes is transient.
