Convulsive Chance

In the expanse of the church, I give a dance
For another year, o lord! Breaking the lance

I'll forever remember the day
The day Nature chose to disobey
the order for my stay

Everyone's busy on a gay morning, making hay
Children all set for play
The Bird's chirping, the horses neigh

Mother Nature watches with dismay
Pacing sideways, halfway, wondering, why the delay
Her gentle hands aching to receive this bouquet
Not filled with flowers, but tears of pain

A bad day never hath a good night
A vicious cycle; living for the fight
Life is fit for the bright with might
that sees each day as a light to ignite

My plight, as my life is; in fright
Eye rolled, mouth foam, lost sight
As I drifted away to a faraway land to reunite,
Mumbles and jumbles I recite
This history, my life, someone would rewrite

A dark night precedes a shining day
I've been given a say! Another chance
Ending the death trance
I woke, looked up, thanked God in advance
For the years, he enhanced, with intellectual finance..

In the expanse of the church, I give a dance
For another year, o lord! Breaking the lance
