Maria Williams Poems

I walk softly
Upon a secret land
The wood's rough edges
Covered by snow's soft hand
...

When it rains
The world cries
And droplets fall
From tear stained eyes
...

Lying in bed
loneliness consuming me
trapped under covers
of my mind's constand dread
...

I used to love the night
Now?
Honestly,
it terrifies me
...

A window to the opening
A key beneath the floor
Trapped in this world of loneliness
Yet I want something more
...

Listen.
Or more importantly? Understand
Loneliness:
The word makes me
...

Snowflake: Falling
Crystallized
Are you? In
The Reflection
...

8.

Stars:
Darkness
Eternal Questions
Are there no answers?
...

Rain outside my window
Dim in my heart
Clouds pushed together
Love pulled apart
...

Wake up to the silent world
Almost forgotten
Nearly
Not quite
...

Random thoughts
Written here and there
A dash of wit
Beneath locks of hair
...

Sprinkles on cake
Mixed up and shaken
Leaving their cartons
Yokes will be taken
...

'Foolish, the faith you put in those little things! '
She laughs, a chuckle, 'Only myths and dreams! '

Yet she is the one who travels home at night
...

The mirror contracts,
Fragments withered away
But trapped forever
The reflection will stay
...

Cleansing and mystic
Honest rain pounds the pavement
Despair soaked in grass
...

'I should probably start decorating, ' she sighed.
But then,
Out came the poems, lifting themselves
Soundlessly onto the wals
...

1.
A laugh like sunshine
We don't hear it anymore
Only broken bells
...

Upon rises and falls of melody
Flowing through cracks of dissonant chords
Bouncing through the cadence of heartbreak
Will innocent happiness
...

The mirror waits in the corner
It crouches in horror
For the flower to at last
In night, bloom
...

Maria Williams Biography

I love writing but I'm extremely sporadic about it. Let's hope to change that. EDIT: I seem to finally be writing some more. Plus I've found a few old poems I wrote months ago and put some up (though most were so awful I couldn't bear to submit them) . Anyway let's hope I keep this up and continue improving.)

The Best Poem Of Maria Williams

Snow's Simple Grace

I walk softly
Upon a secret land
The wood's rough edges
Covered by snow's soft hand

Footprints are left
In an open wood
A river trickles near
Under winter's light hood

My dreams fly free
As I travel the wind
Escape, it whispers
If only you can

I call to my memories
I search in the sky
But snow's simple grace
Hides truth from my eye
