manda dutson Poems

Oh, such futile fighting and
Dramatic incantations
Leave my ears bleeding in the
Foreground of contempt
...

The battlefield of boundaries divided
Deconstructing elimination of this tribe
Wide eyes surround borders filled with sadness
Overflowing streams with saline fears
...

Life's stillness is muffled
By the static of stress
Clinging to moldy corners
Congealing my utter existence
...

Smoke signals silently sent
In thick, black, audible clouds
Lifting weights out of my lungs
And the cigarette I just put out.
...

A bone crushing blanket of white
Wraps its icy tentacles round in a monochromatic death trap.
Filling secret passage ways, underground tunnels
A patchwork of maps.
...

Love
Sweet, forbidden

Like a piece of cake
...

Your silence is an answer
Escaping without words
To my entourage of questions
Your ears have never heard.
...

A hypnotic shadow looms back and forth
Across my mind

A Constant sweeping of unmanaged emotions
...

I once kissed the man of my dreams
Rode on his shoulders and touched the sun
Danced with passion between his thighs
Melted tears with my bare tongue
...

I stayed
Behind blind eyes
A prison cell for one
And sometimes many
...

Your skin is old, stretched, sagging
Besides, I've touched it before
Like a bad habit that doesn't quite fit
But you insist that it indeed fits
...

13.

I have stretched myself out of shape
Into some foreign object, completely unaware
I have become this thing I do not know
And am unfamiliar with the territory
...

Shattered innocence
Deserted youth
Copulating corpses
Pleasing parents
...

Leave my ears bleeding in the
Foreground of contempt
'This is not the right! '
My head erupts, yet
No ears that care to hear
Are listening anyway
