Chardonnay

Been bleeding rivers on my unmade bed
Spilling Chardonnay across the street lamp sheets
Averting my itchy gunshot eyes
from the law men and the light
Knowing there is way too much to hide
That I am broken and the pieces show
You can see where it's all stuck together
Feel the finger on the cap gun trigger
All bang and no bullets
I ain't been beside you like I should
My arrows firing at the thirsty crowd
Like I had more enemies than lifelong friends
I don't know why it has to be this way
Building empires out of your free love
Then tearing down the wistful walls
From the magic to the fractured brick
