Mackenzie Prickett Poems

When I first saw her
She took me to heaven.
In a split second
She could have me beggin'.
...

Through the leaves a ray breaks through,
To shed a light on me and you.
Heats the day,
Absent at night.
...

Your piercing eyes
Resemble stars so bright.
Day by day,
Night by night,
...

Shes the most beautiful girl I've ever laid eyes on.
Her smile is more stunning than the horizon.
I just wish I had the courage,
And no fear of rejection
...

I'd like to make you happy;
I'd like to make you smile;
I'd like to say I know a thing more powerful than miles.
...

I dream about her all day long.
I see her face and that is all.
Her voice resounds inside my head
Telling me that love will ne'er be dead.

The Girl

When I first saw her
She took me to heaven.
In a split second
She could have me beggin'.
But a girl like her
Wouldn't give a chance
To a guy like me,
I fail in advance.
Her, so beautiful,
With long, blonde hair.
Me, so boring,
I cannot compare.
Beautiful eyes,
Stunning smile,
Girl, for you
I'd run a million miles.
The way you walk,
The way you talk,
Makes me so nervous
I can't do either.
Oh, to see you
I get so eager!
If a mirror could talk,
It would say too,
'The fairest in the land?
Why yes, that's you! '
I've said all for now,
Though i could go on and on.
To sum you up in one word,
I simply say, 'Wow'
