What Happens When You'Re Alone

Were alive in this moment, were alive in this time,
Everything that makes sense, seems to have its own rhyme,
And when I think about all the things unsaid,
That multiply and correlate inside of my head,
I think of all the people and I think of all the dread,
I think of all the unknown things that sleep under my bed,
And they keep me company as I fall asleep,
And dream of all the ways that my soul can keep,
The ideas and the notions that circle in my mind,
And revolve around the feeling that everything's all right,
And though there are the times where I make myself believe,
That nothing on this world is anything I need,
I couldn't live without these thoughts,
I wouldn't make it without,
My funny little world that sometimes fills me up with doubt,
So as I say goodnight to all these things keeping me awake,
I lay my head between my knees and pray my soul to take,
And close my eyes to open them to a dormant lively world,
That allows me to see the things recently unfurled,
I'm happy with the way that things have showed themselves to me,
And decide that my final thought is simply to just be.
