Gifts Of Light - I

Light silvers
The surface
Of a woodland pond,

A fox drinks,
Nose to nose
With his reflection

Forest shadows
Deepen, lengthen,
As clouds rumble overhead.

Suddenly,
A summer shower
Passes on.

In the distance
Raindrops
Split the sunlight,

And the ultimate gift,
A rainbow of color,
Bursts upon the earth!
