I met B. B. King in Birmingham 1961. He played some Ledbetter and some future tunes on a little grey and brown reel to reel recorder. We discuss them and it was a great evening of fun. Three years after that one of those tunes became a hit. Never the less, in my meeting I learned that the Blues was a vocation and not his life, he spoke of no matter how late he played on a Saturday night while traveling. He still tried to find a church to attend on Sunday morning pending travel schedule. His character has always been impeccable.
