'I love you' I yell
because i know it annoys you
'I hate you' you reply
as you always do
and then we laugh.

You and your lies, you're a terrible liar
everyday they pour out
I don't think you can help it
trivial things they are usually
but i can always tell

I can tell if you've brushed your
teeth, if you've finished your food
I can tell if you cheated on minecraft
or stole my stuff.

We call you monkey, because of
your ears that we always tease you about
and because you are so cheeky
but you are growing up

you are skinny but I remember
the chubby baby before, always eating
your first word 'hug'
you said for me

We fight all the time
and i always win, but you are
getting better. One day you will
tower over me.
