Change Is Not As Expected

Know that nothing ever will be what you expected
And it's better than okay
You'll feel it heavy in your veins
And you'll want to scream into the night
You're going to hate the uncertainty, but you'll love it
You'll learn to get high off change
And one day you'll find yourself getting off the train two stops too late
And laughing into the wind
You'll fall in love with the way the sun kisses the horizon in the evening
And no one will understand why you cry when the afternoon light touches the grass,
But you'll love them anyway
There will come a time when you'll meet a boy who feels like winter spices that you want to mix into your tea
Your world will change again so remember how you love it
You're going to be tired but don't you stop, don't you dare slow down
