Count them like the random pennies safekept for a rainy day,
the obvious cruel reasons of the hows and whys;
loss pushes love away...
Take the cold frigid reasons to hand spread them out to lay,

Can you see me
Two halves of a whole
In part I am everything
In part I am nothing at all
...
Still and breathless I stood as the world moved in chaos,
and in an eternity of seconds, I was lost…
I thought to turn and run as my mind was chanting danger,
but my instinct ran awry, I was captivated…
...
A knowing measured in fearful mind
of a road that has long been paved
Shaking feet on the edge of awareness
a scarred heart laying concaved
...
Laying dormant in my heart,
a dream that would be awakened,
come my love, fare me away…
...
Today I peered at my reflection in the mirror;
And I must say it was a sight!
There I found kinks and wrinkles;
That seemed to get worse over night!

every day they come unwanted to me
each second of their presence i hate
refusing as though it would matter
in denial that i indeed am enslaved
...

Proud Mother of 7 children, all out and about now, living and growing into productive adults: O) They gave me 11 grandchildren each delighting my heart in their very own precious ways. I'm a widow now for 10 years and still trying to find my way from day to day. I am a christian and attend church when the lovely doors are open. Poetry is my way of expressing what I usually am unable to speak of out right...expressions of the heart mind and spirit :))

Only Love Can Say...
Count them like the random pennies safekept for a rainy day,
the obvious cruel reasons of the hows and whys;
loss pushes love away...
Take the cold frigid reasons to hand spread them out to lay,
ignoring the broken spirit that ever sighs;
with reasons only lost love can say...
While seconds force selective minutes to burn hours into play,
just as clouds make love to the unassuming skies;
loss pushes love away...
Where decisions forget to decide to remember what to say,
as the chance of choice whispers their goodbyes;
with reasons only lost love can say...
Reasons are adamantly ignored in this penny for a thought display,
but truth still screams from dead eyes;
