The clouds are forming,
The storm is near,
The sky's getting darker,
It's almost here.....

Spring will be a little late this year,
With sadness, I still remember
How warm Spring was when you and I loved,
Now, each day is as cold as December
...

He took me in his arms last night
And carried me to heaven's door,
With just one kiss it opened wide,
As angels bade us come inside
...

Hold me in your memory,
Wrap me around your heart,
Repeat the words you said to me
That made the heavens part;
...

How I pray just to hold him close
And tell him how I care,
Just once, to hold him in my arms....
Would God answer such a prayer!
...

Love, brought to me by a stranger,
Like the tide, washed over my heart,
Waves of contentment swept my shore,
A reef of darkness, ripped apart
...

I could count the grains of sand on the shore,
Through a straw, I could drink the sea dry,
But never could I stop loving you,
If commanded, I could not comply
...

I hold the flame as it flickers and dies,
Watching love departing through tear-filled eyes,
I can taste the bitter tears as they flow,
Now I feel the sharp sting of twilight's woe
...

Was your love just a dream.....
Did it ever belong to me?
Or was it a breeze whispering to the trees,
Those words spoken so tenderly?
...

Tell me again how the flame in your heart
Flares up when before me you kneel
To declare your love in this old-fashioned way,
Am I dreaming, or is this real?
