Linda Harnett Poems
Oh, to be lying, On a beach, Somewhere, With sand in my toes,
I Am Woman
I am woman, Proud and free, More to me, Than what you see,
Hush Now, Child
Hush now child, No need to say goodbye, No winter song, No gentle lullaby,
Today, I Lit A Candle
Today I lit a candle, In memory of you, A very special tribute, A flame of gold and blue.
The Lonely Beach
Oh, how I missed you, Lonely Beach, Where I have left my soul, The rugged rocks surround me, I sit there, lost, alone.
For you I’d climb a mountain, I’d grab the furthest star, I’d walk from here to Timbuktu, No distance is too far.
I'm Going Now
I’m going now, Just moving on, Perhaps you’ll miss me, When I’m gone,
A Place Called Home
They say that when the body sleeps, The spirit needs to roam, It rises up to leave this plane, To find a place called home.
I’m sitting by a windmill, In a hurricane it seems, I feel that I’ve been here before, Or was it in my dreams.
And Still I Wait
And Still I Wait And still I wait,
For Old Times Sake
For old times sake, lets walk down memory lane, Recalling sweetest memories of the past, Lets feel the love that came before the pain, When we believed our love was meant to last,
I Travelled To The Mountains
I travelled to the mountains, Through long and winding road, My destination aimless, Tune in to chill out mode.
I had a little puppy, It piddled on the floor, And every time I mopped it up, It piddled even more.
I Came Across A Picture
I came across a picture, Two lovers hand in hand, They’re strolling in the sunset, Both barefoot in the sand.

Oh, to be lying,
On a beach,
With sand in my toes,
And the wind,
In my hair.
And only the sound,
Of the seagulls,
On a beach,
Under sunny blue sky.
The gentle caress,
Of the waves,
On the shore,
And you close,
Could I ask for more?
A soft sandy beach,
That goes on,
And a beach,
So happy together.
