Lilia Fer. Poems

I remember your last words to me, on that heating summer
By the hospital sheets
Mom had to buy some suplies to our house
And I stayed with you during that day
...

When the sky turns lime green
When my office's windows are clean
That's when I'll stop loving you.
...

I'm afraid I'll watch the funniest TV shows
But have no one to laugh together with me
With popcorn on our hands
And happiness on our hearts
...

I remember when I was just a little girl
And I wanted to play with the boys in my neighbourhood
You must have a idea of what they said to me if you're a woman
They said that I could not run because I was a girl
...

Yesterday my dogs were two little white dots
In the dark wooden floor
Today my dogs are now mother and father
Of pesky six puppies
...

My best friend told me one day
She caught my with that dreamy look
People in love have in their eyes:
Why wait for a prince charming that never comes?
...

I never had any experience with boys
You fascinated me— in every shape and every form
When your hands touched my cheek for the first time
My body felt like a storm
...

I miss my grandma
The old missy that smelled so great!
Oh, she made the most delicious treats
I wish you where there to taste.
...

Lilia Fer. Biography

I am a Brazilian student. I live in the most beautiful city in the world, Rio de Janeiro. My dream is to study Fashion or Journalism. I have a hidden love for History and Archeology. My family is my great source of happiness. My family also includes two of the sweetest dogs in the world and a pesky, lazy cat. Ill write about anything personal for me and things I want to remember about... Can you imagine how grateful I'll be for my past self when I read all this? I don't rhyme because I don't worry enough to do so. It pains my head and that's the last thing I want to feel while enjoying myself. On a side note, I hope you have a very good day!)

To My Grandma

I remember your last words to me, on that heating summer
By the hospital sheets
Mom had to buy some suplies to our house
And I stayed with you during that day
Playing on a old game console

Your last words to me were
'I love you'
And my last words to you were
'I love you too'

I haven't ever told a lie to you;
I meant it.

You, who went to God's side
I know you are well, my Grandmother
I swear you are making delicious desserts to all the angels up there
Your disease hurts you no more.

Do you remember when you told me that when you went to Heaven
You would become the brightest star in the night sky?
You told me I could tell everything for you
I just had to look for the brightest star.

I'm doing that just now
And I know you are hearing me
Fly on Heaven with your seraphin wings knowing that
I love you to the Moon, the Sun, the stars

I still miss your scent
Your dream of meeting a nice old man and dance a serenade with him
Your student's letters full of love for the woman who taught them how to read in this modest city we live in
Your words full of wisdow

Tell me, Grandma
Do you mind baking some cookies when my time ends here?
