Twilight Of The Night

Darkness of the night is broken by the moon
I run, run were though
Too dark to see but Down the stream I run
Not just from him but from me and to what I have become
Away from the black house of nightmares
And as I run I stop and think
Look to the river to which a new face stirs
I see a girl blood drenched, tried and scared
Too young to know what she has done
But glad all she can do is run
Tortured from the truth she heard
Damp check and blood shot eyes
If I would go back in time to warn her who he was
To warn myself of the abuse and blood
Would I be standing here?
In the twilight of the night
With his blood on my knife
