Lauren Saari Poems

The teddy bear lay in the little baby’s crib
With a smile that never fades,
A smile that can wipe the tears from those eyes,
And bring you to your happier ways.
...

You will not believe what I have seen
through these old weary eyes

I’ve had my share of heartfelt passions
...

I don’t write because I can
I don’t write because I’m told to
I write because when the day is done
I know it’s a friend I can turn to
...

It’s that smile that you see on a horrible day
it’s the hug that brings you to your happier ways

It’s a kiss that leaves you wanting more
...

Everyone’s got a someone
but it seems they forgot one
and that one happens to be me
...

The rug by the door
is to wipe your feet
and chair with a cushion
is there for a seat
...

I went into the bathroom
and in the tub I lay
not too sure of what I was doing
I just needed to get away
...

A tree stood so strong on top of a hill.
It was majestic and handsome, gracious if you will

It was a shelter to some, to others a toy
...

The kids all rushed
to the park to play
Climbing on the play toy
on this beautiful day
...

You’ll never guess
what kind of chest
I found at the bottom of the sea
...

My hands start to sweat
My tongue starts to swell
My lip starts to tremble
… There’s no way this can go well
...

The cloud were all dark
Dumping rain down
And we stood in the park
with no one else around
...

I stand in front of a window
and stare into some eyes
Ones that seem alone and afraid
Like they’ve had too many cries
...

She looks around
when there’s no one to be found
as she jumps down onto the shelf
...

When you hear the beat
That song stuck in your head
You forget all of your troubles
And into another world your led
...

I hate being in the middle
I hate not knowing for who to care
I hate the constant worrying
It's something that i can't bare
...

Lauren Saari Biography

Hey.. I'm Lauren. I'm not emo, i'm not depressed, I'm 16 and i love to write poetry. Please feel free to critique as i strive off my miskates. Uh, I write poetry a lot, because i'm happy usually. Sometimes i just sit down and the words pour out. I can't even relate to some of it. Poets i look up to are Gaston Leroux, T.S Eliot, and lots of bands. I love trying new things so a lot of my poetry doesn't even sound good. It just takes practice, so please comment and tell me how i'm doing. Ha, thanks!)

The Best Poem Of Lauren Saari

Best Friend

The teddy bear lay in the little baby’s crib
With a smile that never fades,
A smile that can wipe the tears from those eyes,
And bring you to your happier ways.

The teddy bear lay in the young toddler’s bed
With fur as soft as snow,
Fur you just want to cuddle and cuddle,
And cuddle and never let go.

The teddy bear sat on the teenager’s shelf
With arms open wide,
Patiently waiting for someone to hug,
Just waiting to comfort your cries.

The teddy bear lay in an old garbage bag
Rotting and rotting from dust,
With a smile and fur and arms open wide,
Or was that just never enough?

And now the teddy bear lies in a broken boy’s arms
Broken from the laughs and the cries.
At least you’ll always have one caring friend,
To wipe the tears from your eyes.
