Kyra Skal Poems

Thunder Boom
Lightning Flash
I close my eyes
My phone in grasp
...

What's that sound?
perhaps a cry
A moan
A gasp
...

Dear Trevor,

Like a jab at my heart, you took my other part. I used to twitch and fumble, now all I can do it crumble. So if this is the end, my heart will not mend. It will but fad to background, with out making a single sound. Thank you for this all, giving me life and setting me up tall. But like you did a while back, I feel as though God is what I lack. So I give it all up, because half-empty is my cup. I give it away, for I will no longer stay. I will cut this tie, and now I say Good-bye...
...

Fell for you
Quicker than planned
Falling for you
But I can't hit land
...

I am Death
Whom many fear
To face directly
When I'm near
...

6.

I wrote a poem
A poem about death
And then I found the truth
When he caught my breath
...

Tapping
On my window
Crying
In the cold
...

8.

A child's sound
A laugh at night
Makes me glad
That it's alright
...

The kiss of an angel
The touch of a lamb
You are everywhere
wherever I am.

Text Me Tonight

Thunder Boom
Lightning Flash
I close my eyes
My phone in grasp

I am scared
But I'm alright
As long as you
Text me tonight

I close my eyes
and fall asleep
With a text
I plan to keep
